Caesar Salad

Ingredients
Romaine lettuce
Croutons
Parmesan cheese
Olive or avocado oil
Anchovy fillets
Dijon mustard
Lemon juice
Garlic
Egg yolk
Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper

Dressing:
  1. Begin by crushing a garlic clove and mixing it with anchovy fillets in a bowl.

  2. Add Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, egg yolk, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

  3. Slowly drizzle in oil while whisking the mixture until it thickens to create a creamy dressing.

  4. Wash and chop the Romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces.

  5. Toss the lettuce in the prepared Caesar dressing until well coated.

  6. Add in croutons and Parmesan cheese, tossing gently to combine.


Plate your freshly made Caesar salad and top it off with an extra sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper. Pair it with a glass of crisp white wine or iced tea for the perfect light and refreshing meal.

For an extra kick of flavor, consider adding grilled chicken or shrimp to your Caesar salad.
To make your croutons from scratch, simply cube day-old bread, toss it with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt, then bake until golden brown.
